Sedum Reflexum

Sedum is a species of perennial succulent that also flowers. Once native to Northern, Southern and Central Europe, Reflexum was once widespread.

​

Popular both in the home and garden, this species of Sedum was known for its drought-resistant properties, preferring minimal water intake to survive.

​

As climate change continued to unravel in the 20th Century, weather conditions would increasingly become wetter, which saturated Reflexum’s native habitats and led to its demise in the wild.

​

It continues to be a popular plant to cultivate in lab settings and for display for the public, as well as being one of a few plants still available for purchase.
